Foundations Strength Now Offered!

Never lifted a weight in your life? Scared of the typical gym environment? Not sure where to start, but your doctor told you that you had to!?

You’ve come to the right place. TFW Longmont now offers a strength training format geared for individuals who have little to no experience lifting (or even being in a gym).

Foundations Strength, offered on Mondays and Thursdays at 10:15am, teaches weightlifting in a slower-paced, beginner friendly class.

Coach Cori and Coach Amanda will guide you step-by-step on form and technique so you can build strength, confidence, and a solid foundation--no experience needed!

Why should you lift weights? Whether you call it weight lifting, strength or resistance training, this modality challenges your nervous system, muscle fibers, tendons, ligaments, balance, core and more. Lifting an appropriate amount makes each of these aspects function at a better quality than they do now! Not to mention your bone density improves as does your insulin sensitivity (because muscle is a glucose sponge!).

And when you train correctly at the gym, you will experience that functional fitness in your daily life - picking up fur babies, gardening outside, keeping up with your kids or grandkids, lifting objects at home or work. (I bet you can think of a== more than a few instances you wish you were stronger!)
